His widow, Martha Hart, recently gave fans a very clear timeline as to when they can expect Owen's induction, with one simple word: never. A botched ring entrance saw Hart fall 78 feet to his death, stunning the live audience who were not aware Hart had died until after the show -- in a controversial decision, the WWF continued the pay-per-view despite Hart's death.
The events of that evening and the days leading up to it were detailed in the recent season two finale of Vice's Dark Side of the Ring. The next night on Raw , a special tribute episode was held in honor of Hart. It featured non-grudge matches dedicated to him, as well as various wrestlers sharing their memories of Hart. Owen Hart was a respected and well-loved performer, both with fans and among everyone behind the scenes.
Martha stated "their Hall of Fame? They don't even have a Hallway of Fame. It doesn't exist. There's nothing. It's a fake entity. There's nothing real or tangible. I hope life has been kind to all of them. My life hasn't been easy, and I certainly wouldn't wish harm on anyone. You can't fix it. It's done. Again, you can forgive people, but it doesn't mean you have to befriend them and be associated with them.
