A strong Pokemon team will include a variety of different Types of Pokemon. A single Pokemon may have either one or two types, depending on the species. Moves may deal normal damage, extra damage or reduced damage. Click the chart to enlarge it.

Four of them have a total of seven variants, bringing the entire total of Pokemon to add to your staff to Additionally, there are some Pokemon that appear in the game but are not recruitable. Finally, several Pokemon are alluded to as part of the servings at the Cafe. Many of the dishes are themed around certain Pokemon that don't appear in the game.
There are currently 33 dishes in the game, though more are added regularly. This game has a handful of Pokemon that are playable, with each playing a certain role with a particular style or specialty. For example, Greninja is a ranged style attacker role. Also, if you're counting the number of playable Pokemon, it's important to note that almost all playable characters start out as their base stage and then evolve throughout a match with the exception of Pikachu, which does not evolve.
Here's a full list of playable Pokemon in Unite, and how they play. In New Pokemon Snap, there are a ton of Pokemon. Instead of listing them all here which would take up a ton of space and also spoil some of the game's secrets , we've broken it down by course.
In total, there are Pokemon in the game. Here's a breakdown of each stage, which Pokemon appear only there, and the number of Pokemon that appear in multiple stages. New Pokemon Snap may receive more DLC in the future that adds more Pokemon, but there has been no announcement of anything like that so far.
The originals released during Generation III, and this game still focuses on the first three generations. However, since it has come out in a time when many Pokemon from those generations have evolutionary relatives introduced later, those have been included. Mega Evolution and Primal Reversion also make appearances, as well as two Pokemon you might not expect: Riolu and Lucario. In the Mystery Dungeon games, you don't catch Pokemon in the traditional sense. Instead, you can "recruit" them to join your team.
There are a few ways to do this, but one of the most common is by meeting them in a dungeon, after which they'll ask to join you. For most Pokemon, you'll need the appropriate Friend Camp in order to recruit them. There are even Legendary Pokemon that can be recruited, though most of them are locked to the post-game.
Shiny Pokemon are also available, though they can only be recruited if you are wearing the Friend Bow, which you can find in Solar Cave, on Floor 30 of Mt. Faraway, or in Kecleon Shops in Joyous Tower. As mentioned, many Mega Evolutions and both Primal Reversions exist in the game as well. By using an item called an Empowerment Seed, you can temporarily put a Pokemon in the Awakened state, which powers them up.
When Awakened, a Pokemon's linked moves will always be critical hits, its moves won't miss, and bad type matchups will be ignored. Empowerment Seeds are random drops in dungeons, and their effects last until you leave the current floor. The effects also won't work if you steal from Kecleon. Instead of catching Pokemon in the wild, you recruit Sync Pairs, which are a Trainer with a particular Pokemon.
For example: You start the game as a player character with a Pikachu, and you immediately recruit two Sync Pairs: Brock and Onix and Misty and Starmie. Some Pokemon can evolve under certain conditions, while some others do not. We've got a full list of the Sync Pairs available in the game currently, with a note on which ones can evolve and which cannot where applicable. Those that can hatch from Eggs and form a Sync Pair with the player are listed in a table below this one.
Many Sync Pairs can be formed between the player character and a Pokemon hatched from an Egg. These can often be shiny, but not always. Some of these Pokemon are exclusive to certain events, and those are marked with bolding in this table.
Two Pokemon games are on the horizon, both revolving around Generation IV. The other is a new open-world game set in the feudal era of the Sinnoh region called Pokemon Legends: Arceus. We don't have full Pokedex lists for either quite yet, so here's a look at what we currently know.
It has been confirmed that the entire Sinnoh Pokedex will be included, so we know that for certain. There are some quirks to this total, though. The original Sinnoh 'Dex added up to total Pokemon, and that number would be bumped up to in Platinum. All of this adds up to a net total of in the Sinnoh Pokedex, though there were seven Gen IV Pokemon omitted, meaning there should be if those are included.
At the time, the full National Pokedex went up to Arceus, who is , meaning there were Pokemon available. One more wrench thrown into the works is a statement from Nintendo France.
The company made a comment on a Facebook page that said "rediscover all Pokemon up to 4G," implying only Pokemon up to Generation IV will be obtainable. But, the comment has since been deleted. We currently do not know the veracity of this statement and if it really means there won't be any Pokemon from Gen V onward.
The other new upcoming game is Pokemon Legends: Arceus. For this game, the only Pokemon we can confirm are those that have been shown in game footage. Though this game is technically set in the Sinnoh region, it's an era long past and the region is referred to as Hisui.
And the final is none other than that most infamous, genetically-enhanced clone, Mewtwo. While they might not have the kudos of being in the original class, there are many famous names among them. Slowking was added as an evolved form of Slowpoke, Cleffa quickly became a staple of the TCG , and even the new starters, like Totodile, have their fans. The trio of golems Regice, Registeel and Regirock were added, alongside the pair of birds Latias and Latios. The generation also introduced an abundance of new evolutionary forms, such as Leafeon and Glaceon for Eevee, and Magmortar for Magmar.
That makes for a total of nine. Pocket Monsters Best Wishes! Bank Version 1. I Choose You! Detective Pikachu. HOME
